The Axcel CarboFlax Acclaim Aero 500 is the latest bar in Axcel's CarboFlax Acclaim series, built for archers who want to run real weight without hanging a fat rod out front. Axcel blends natural flax fibre with Ultra High Modulus Carbon into a bio-composite layup, which lets the Acclaim Aero 500 stay stiff and quiet inside a slim 0.500" diameter profile. Compound shooters get the stiffness to carry heavier weights, and recurve shooters get a narrower bar that cuts wind resistance on a windy field.

Why CarboFlax

Axcel spent a year running vibration testing before designing this bar, and followed the aerospace, cycling, automotive and tennis industries in blending flax into the carbon layers. By Axcel's testing, flax delivers three times the vibration dampening of glass and roughly 20% more than carbon alone, while also being lighter and plant-based.

Choosing a length

The 24", 27", 30" and 33" bars are the front rods; the 10", 12" and 15" bars are the side rods. Target archers commonly pair a long front rod with a shorter side rod on a V-bar or side mount. Every length ships in the same Black finish with the same weight and dampener package listed above.

You will not be left wondering. Once your order is in, we email you a status update every week until it ships — where it is, and what is next.

Need it by a certain date? Message us before you order and we will tell you exactly where that item stands.

Free pickup at either store. Choose pickup at checkout and we will have it ready, usually within 24 hours.

If we got it wrong, we make it right. If your order turns up damaged, faulty, or it simply is not what you ordered, we cover the return shipping and refund you in full. Send us a photo and we will sort it out — you should not be out a cent for our mistake.

Changed your mind? That is fine too. Send it back and we refund the full price of the product. Return shipping is on you in that case, and the gear has to come back to us complete and in sellable condition — unused, undamaged, with the packaging, parts and paperwork it arrived with. Once it lands and checks out, the full product price goes back on your card. Shipping is the only thing you are out.

Built-to-order gear is final sale. Custom arrows and anything else built to your spec cannot be resold, so we cannot take those back.
